Overlooking a pretty, leafy Georgian square The Globe Inn is a great base for a break on the beautiful north Norfolk coast or an ideal spot for a pint of local beer and some simple, home cooked food. The town of Wells-next-the-Sea offers a central base for the nearby beautiful Holkham Beach with more than 4 miles of golden sand and the world-class bird watching sites of the Holkham Nature Reserve, Cley-next-Sea
and Titchwell. For walkers the North Norfolk Coast Path, Peddars Way and beautiful Norfolk countryside are all close at hand.
The Inn has 7 light and airy rooms ( 5 double en-suite and 2 twin en-suite), all with oak flooring. They are simple, modern and well sound proofed. Food ranges from bar snacks to a full blown meal featuring fresh, local ingredients, taking advantage of the abundance of produce available from both farm and sea. A welcoming experience awaits you at The Victoria, ideally situated just a few minutes walk from the golden sands of Holkham Beach and at the gates of the Palladian ancestral home, Holkham Hall. It is perfectly placed for discovering the county's windswept northern coastline, seaside towns and villages.
All of our 10 rooms have been individually designed to encourage our guests to feel at home. Exotic fabrics, intriguing bric-a-brac and opulent colours give each room its own character, and its occupants a real opportunity to relax. Food is classical, innovative, seasonal, fresh and local.
Alternatively, you may wish to stay somewhere truly unique in one of our beautiful lodges within the estate. Each lodge has been restored using traditional building methods and individually designed to compliment the interesting buildings. Choose from Palmer's Lodge - a hidey-hole in the heart of the estate, The Triumphal Arch - the original south entrance or Cuckoo Lodge - a former gamekeeper's cottage in a tranquil setting. The Lodges
sleep from 2 to 6 people.
The above details can only provide a glimpse of the stunning location and the luxurious facilities available at the Victoria so please visit our website to see the full picture together with details of current tariff and special offers.
